Hi, I’m Calay – the face behind Madellah Bakes! I’m a mum of two, a self-taught baker, and the proud owner of this small, independent baking business.
At Madellah Bakes, everything is made fresh, by hand, and with care. From beautifully decorated cakes for special occasions to everyday treats like cookies and brownies, I put my heart into every bake. My goal is to create desserts that not only taste amazing but make your celebrations extra special.
I also love getting out into the community, whether it’s selling at local food festivals, supplying wholesale to small businesses, or working with companies on unique corporate gifts. Supporting others and spreading a little joy through baking is what keeps me motivated.

Being a mum to two little ones and running Madellah Bakes keeps me on my toes! It’s a constant juggling act between looking after my family and growing my business, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Most days, you’ll find me baking during nap times, replying to messages after bedtime, or coming up with new ideas while the kids are busy playing. It can be a challenge, but being able to do what I love while showing my kids that hard work pays off makes it all worth it.
